A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn used to make stockings and tights.
The lower the number of DENIERS (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the sheerer and more transparent the stockings or tights are. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker they are and the less skin is visible.
